The Jewish Wedding

At the moment spending some time just looking at the present world situation, I’m sure I’m not the only one that recognizes the remaining time is obviously short and our redemption draws nigh. I’m just going to share a small bit of insight into the Jewish wedding ceremony and how it connects to us ( the bride ) and Him ( the Bridegroom ) and the soon return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The groom travels from his father’s house to the dwelling of his bride-to-be. At that time he would pay the purchase price for the bride, and establish the marriage covenant. Then the bridegroom would return to his father’s house during the engagement and would begin to prepare the living accommodations for his bride-to-be.

When this was completed he would return for his betrothed, but she would not know when he was coming. She lived in constant expectation of the surprise. Then together they would return to his father’s house for the wedding ceremony and feast, an event that would last for seven days.

“In My Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would’ve told you. I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself: that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:2-3

Come quickly Jesus!

  1. Yeah, thats what I was trying to say….you said it better though…nice post Rocky. Keep praying for all those unsaved that we all know, feel responsible for, and desperately want to come to know Jesus before that day arrives. I wish I werent such a fixer! It’s just impossible to fix everything for everyone, no one is happy that way and we certainly can’t MAKE people CHOOSE Jesus…If only it were that easy! Sometimes free choice just sucks when you see others making the wrong choices and see how they suffer not knowing the Joy of Christ! He didn’t promise me a perfect world, just a perfect eternity (heaven)! Blessings. Nonni~~

Ok, now somebody come along and correct all my mistakes! LOL
